DAY 01: USA / EUROPE.
We depart the US for an overnight flight to Tel Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served aloft.
DAY 02:TEL AVIV.
Upon our arrival at the Tel Aviv airport we will be met by Triumph Tours representative who will assist us to our motor coach which will transfer us to our hotel along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 03: TEL AVIV / GALILEE.
After breakfast we drive through the Sharon Plains to Caesarea, the Roman city of Herod where sights include Crusader fortifications, the Roman aqueducts and amphitheater. We drive through the Jezreel Valley to the fields of Armageddon and Megiddo. We continue our scenic drive along the Mediterranean Sea to Haifa and the crest of Mt. Carmel – the site of Elijah. As we make our way to Tiberias we stop at Mt. Tabor and Deboriya - the hometown of the prophetess Deborah. Upon arrival in Tiberias we transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 04: TIBERIAS / CAPERNAUM / CAESAREA PHILIPPI / MT. HERMON / GThere is nothing quite like witnessing a sunrise on the Sea of Galilee. Although there are many places which we must admit are traditional, you can be sure that the Lord Jesus walked down these shores. After a sunrise service and breakfast, we cross the Sea of Galilee by boat to Capernaum to visit the ancient ruins of the synagogue where Jesus preached We continue to the Mt. of Beatitudes the traditional site for the “Sermon on the Mount" and to Tabgha - the chapel dedicated to the multiplication of the loaves and fishes . Drives to Caesarea Philippi the site of Peter’s confession; continue to Mt. Hermon and Golan Heights where Israel share a border with Lebanon and Syria. On our way back we stop at the Jordan River where an optional Baptismal Service is possible. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 05: NAZARETH / JERICHO / JERUSALEM.
With an early morning departure to Cana and to Nazareth, the hometown of Jesus, we visit the Church of the Annunciation and Mary's Fountain We continue to Bethshean, to see the most recent excavations from the Roman Era. We then head south through the Jordan Valley to ancient Jericho where the walls came tumbling down. Enjoy a view of the Mt. of Temptation and see Elisha's Fountain. As we drive through the Judean country our hearts filled with elation in anticipation of entering Jerusalem. We transfer to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 06: JERUSALEM.
We have reached the “highlight of our tour”. We begin the day with a drive to Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives for the most spectacular panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. We visit the Chapel of the Ascension, the Church of Pater Noster and the Dominus Flevit. Walk along Hosanna Road to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations that stands on the Rock of Agony where Jesus was betrayed by Judas. See the Pillar of Absalom, the Eastern (Golden) Gate and the Pinnacle of the Temple. We then drive to Mt. Zion where we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu on the site of Caiaphas' House, the Upper Room of the Last Supper and King David’s Tomb. We continue with a tour New Jerusalem: Visit Hebrew University, the Shrine of the Book that houses the Dead Sea Scrolls, visit Yad Vashem – a memorial built for six million lives that perished during the Holocaust, see the Model City of Jerusalem which is a miniature model of the Old City during the time of the Holy Temple. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 07: JERUSALEM / BETHLEHEM.
Today we head further south 1300ft under sea level to the Dead Sea. A beautiful new road takes us south along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. Ascend the mountain by cable car and see the magnificent ruins of the fortress where from 70-73 A.D Jewish zealots made the last stand against Romans. Return along the Dead Sea to Qumran the place where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Visit the remains of the Community Center of the Essenes and the Caves of the Scrolls. Drive the Jericho Road to the Inn of the Good Samaritan, then return to Jerusalem for dinner and an overnight stay.
DAY 08: TEL AVIV / ROME
Travel to Tel Aviv for some sightseeing including ancient Joppa. After lunch continue to the Tel Aviv airport for our departure to Rome, Italy. Dinner will be served aboard. Upon arrival in Rome we will be met by Triumph Tours staff that will transfer you to our hotel for overnight.
DAY 09: ROME.
After breakfast we begin our morning tour with a visit to Vatican City. Visit the Museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Square, Church of St. Peter, Basilica of St. Paul, the ancient Appian Way and the catacombs of St. Caliztus. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure for to enjoy local avenues, sites, cafes and so much that Rome has to offer. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at our hotel in Rome.
DAY 10: ROME.
Today enjoy a half day sightseeing tour which includes Moses' Fountain, Quirinale Palace, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Arch of Titus, the Coliseum - site of early Christian martyrdom - and Mamertine Prison, possibly the final place of confinement of the Apostle Paul before his execution. We return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 11: ROME / NORTH AMERICA.
We transfer to the airport for our departure to North America.
